Living off Jiu-Jitsu and becoming a reference in the sport is the dream of many kids who dedicate themselves daily on the mats. One of those promising talents is 12-year-old Roger Vieira. A yellow belt who started training at just four years old, Roger was named after the legendary Roger Gracie by his father, Anderson “Borracha,” a devoted fan of the icon.
Representing the Borracha Team, Roger’s life revolves around Jiu-Jitsu, and his journey already includes several prestigious titles from various federations. He is a Brazilian champion, South American champion, and Pan Kids champion under the IBJJF banner.
In addition to these accomplishments, Roger has also claimed gold at the Abu Dhabi World Pro, a victory he considers his most significant achievement so far.
“I take Jiu-Jitsu seriously. I have my moments of fun, but I’m committed to Jiu-Jitsu.”

Roger thrives on the adrenaline of securing submissions, shaping his aggressive, offensive style to showcase his skills and captivate the audience.
“In my day-to-day training, I don’t train to lose. I want to prove myself to the public,” said the young champion.
After a season filled with gold medals, Roger Vieira is nearing the end of his time as a yellow belt. This December, he will be promoted to orange belt, kicking off a new chapter filled with challenges in the coming year.
