Chiang Mai, Hua Hin or Phuket for a training base you actually own
Been doing two-month blocks in Thailand every year since 2019 and this year me and my partner decided to stop paying for someone else's condo and buy one.
Where we're at:
Phuket has the most gyms and the highest prices. Chiang Mai is heaps cheaper but the air in March is hard going for cardio. Hua Hin is quiet, the training scene is small but growing.
Most nights I've been going through https://tranio.com/thailand/ area by area and writing down what a two-bed near a decent academy goes for, so we compare the same thing in all three places.
Partner reckons Hua Hin. I reckon Phuket and more rolling.
Anyone here bought near their gym in Thailand? Did you pick the gym first or the flat first?
